Matthew Brian Grant passed away with loved ones by his side, Monday, May 11, 2026.

Born January 10, 1959 in Glens Falls, NY he was the son of Walter and Shirley Grant.

Matthew graduated high school in 1977. He then went onto work for Irving Tissue in Fort Edward, NY.

On August 30, 1980 Matthew married the love of his life, Nancy Gifford at St. Mary’s Church in Glens Falls, NY.

Matthew loved spending time with his family most of all, but he also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and reading.

In addition to his parents, Matthew was predeceased by his infant son, Michael Joseph Grant; maternal grandparents, Marvin and Kathryn Maranville; and paternal grandparents, George and Nellie Grant.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Nancy Grant of Hudson Falls; daughter, Nicole Adolfi of Glens Falls; grandchildren, Sophia Adolfi, and Anthony Adolfi; sister, Terrie (John) Grant-Fox; brothers, Mark (April) Grant, and John (Angie) Grant; nephew, Joshua (Vallie) Grant; niece, Ashley (Mike) Marchese; and cat, Molly.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to all the doctors and nurses at the Glens Falls Hospital who took care of Matt in this difficult time.
