QUEENSBURY --- Matthew V. Russell, 45, of Woodland Path, Queensbury, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014 at his home.
Born Oct 28, 1968, he was the son of the late Floyd and Gloria (Harris) Russell Sr.
He loved his job working for Jim Girard's Landscaping many years before he became too ill to work. He also enjoyed the Dallas Cowboys.
Besides his parents, a brother, Floyd Levi Jr., a brother-in-law, Orbin Harrington II, and a nephew, Mark Russell Jr. predeceased him.
Survivors include two sons, Jordon Russell and Josh McKernon; a sister, Debbie Harrington of Queensbury; two brothers, Doug (Melanie) of South Glens Falls and Mark (Melody) of Luzerne; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 27 from 3 to 4 p.m. followed by a 4 p.m. memorial service at the Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, with the Rev. Flossie Gage Bates officiating.
The family wishes to thank the C. R. Wood Cancer Center, Dr. Stoutenburg and his staff, Dr. Luz Peguero and PA Raul Sadal for all their care and patience with Matt during these last few months.
