SOUTH GLENS FALLS --- Maxine E. Desourdy, 63, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025, following a brief illness.

Born November 7, 1961, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Richard Bennett, Sr. and Pauline (Thorpe) Clear.

Maxine attended Hudson Falls High School. She worked at Sully's West and Peter's Pub.

She married Bernard Skellie on October 18, 2002.

Maxine enjoyed hanging out with friends, playing with her fur babies, and enjoying the summer weather.

Maxine was predeceased by her father, Richard Bennett, Sr; nephew, Thomas Bennett; and beloved pets, Gabby, Buddy, and Molly.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Bernard Skellie of South Glens Falls; children, Heather (Scott) Kenny of Queensbury and Nicole Desourdy of Queensbury; grandchildren, James Desourdy, Kyra Kenny, Thomas Kenny, Jayd Desourdy, and Chloe Kenny; sisters, Robin Bennett (Don Brown) of New York and Michelle (Gerald) Dangelico of Florida; brothers, Richard Bennett, Jr. of South Glens Falls, and Michael Bennett; mother, Pauline Clear of Lake George; ex-companion, Pat Martin of Hudson Falls; nieces, nephews, and cousins, Jennifer Dangelico of Florida, Richelle James, Emily Bennett, and Chad Bennett; and beloved pets, Tanner, Gremmi, and Missy.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the Eagles Club, 80 Main St., South Glens Falls, NY.
