QUEENSBURY --- Michael R. Bailey, 59, of Baybrook Dr., passed away Saturday morning, November 18, 2023, at his home at the age of 59. Mike went to heaven to be with his mother, Elizabeth Bailey.

Born February 20, 1964, he was the son of Richard "Dick" and the late, Elizabeth "Libby
Bailey.

Mike graduated in 1982 from St. Mary's Academy where he played football and basketball for SMA. He attended college at the University of Brockport State, graduating in 1986 with a bachelor's degree. He went on to work for Warren County social services for many years.

Dick and Libby owned a condo in Myrtle Beach and Mike went to Myrtle Beach and was working in hotel management for thirteen years. He then returned home and was employed at Fort Edward public school for over thirteen years.

Mike's greatest passion was cooking and playing his horses at OTB.

He never married and lived with Dick and Libby for over 20 years.

Mike is survived by his father Richard; his sister, Bridget Girard; his brother, Timothy Bailey; and his aunt and uncle, William and Susan Hayes; his loving nephews, Lee (Lauren) Girard, Quinn Girard; nieces, Brooke and Amber Bailey; nephew, William (Mary) Hayes; niece, Colleen (David) Bailey.

Visitation will take place Friday, December 1, 2023, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Joseph Busch officiating.
