GLENS FALLS --- Michael J. Carter, 38, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 13, 2023.

Born February 1, 1985, in New Britain, Connecticut, he was the son of Michael and Gail (Tanguay) Carter.

Michael attended San Diego State University and became an electrical engineer. He was a pioneer in the Bitcoin industry and a leader in his field. Michael managed nationwide projects on a large scale.

Michael was a great father to not only his children, but anyone else who needed him. He loved to spend time with his son, Kevin.

He loved photography, sharing a bottle of whistlepig with friends and family, taking in those in need, and spending time with his kids. Michael was an avid Ducati motorcycle enthusiast and a diehard car guy, who loved to go fast.

In addition to his parents, Michael was predeceased by his mother, Gail Tanguay; and grandfather, Emedy Tanguay.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Dylan Carter, Kevin Carter, and Tyler Carter; father, Michael S. Carter; brother, Will Hess, Jr.; and his beloved pet, Allie "Byrd."

Visitation will take place Monday, November 20, 2023, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
