QUEENSBURY --- Michael David Correia, 61, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2026.
Born January 30, 1964 in Rome, New York he was the son of Augustine and Margaret (Evans) Correia.
Michael graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1982. Following graduation he attended SUNY Geneseo.
Michael served in the United States Navy from 1987 until 1990.
In 1990, Michael married Sheila (Burnett) Correia. They ultimately separated in 2009.
Michael was a manager at Hess for 10 years, most recently he worked at Bogeys at Bay Meadows, and held other various management positions.
Michael's favorite football team was the Buffalo Bills; he also liked the Giants. He enjoyed being a foodie with his daughter, watching scary movies, golfing, fishing, beach vacations, Cape Cod, and karaoke where he got to share his love of music. Above all else Michael loved being with family and playing with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Michael was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, John Evans, Cecelia Morse-Evans; and paternal grandmother, Hilda D'Amore.
Those left to cherish his memory are his companion, Catherine Medick Clift of Argyle, New York; children, Hayley (James O'Brien) Correia of Queensbury, Heather (Chad Warner) Warner of Queensbury, and Gary (Elizabeth) Norte of Hudson Falls; grandchildren, Autumn, Leah, and James O'Brien, Abigail, and Catherine Warner, and Sofia, and Isabelle Norte; sisters, Michelle Correia, and Melony Longhitano; aunts, Linda, Mary, Sally, Susan; uncle, John Evans; and so many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will take place Wednesday, January 28, 2026 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 10 a.m. with the Father Scott Vanderveer at St. Mary's Church, 62 Warren Street, Glens Falls.
An interment with military honors will be held at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at a later date.
In loving memory of Michael contributions may be made to St. Judes Children Hospital.
