Obituary

Murray Mason Cutts, 81, of Moreau, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 22, 2024.

Murray was born in Sherbrooke, QC, Canada on December 8, 1943. He married  Sherrie Ann (Hadlock) on September 25, 1964. She was his rock for 60 years. He went  to Lennoxville High School and furthered his education in electrical engineering at  Sherbrooke Technical School while finishing at McGill University in Montreal. He  became a naturalized citizen of the United States in 1986.

He began his career in Montreal and was transferred to Albany Engineering Systems  (AES) in Queensbury, NY, in 1978. Most of his career he worked for AES as a sales  engineer for the pulp and paper industry. He was a very involved member of the  Queensbury United Methodist Church. Also, he gave hours of time on several committees for many organizations throughout his life up until most recently he served as the President of the Homeowners Association.

Murray always believed in family first. He loved all of his family beyond measure and  treasured family time spent together more than anything else. He helped the family  create many memories at Orford Lake and then boating on Lake George. He missed his  son dearly. His daughters meant the world to him. He was so very proud of his  grandchildren and cherished each one. He made a diligent effort to stay involved in  their lives and support them through their life journeys. He was always interested in  what they were doing. His favorite place was his wood working shop where he created many cherished gifts for the family.

Murray was predeceased by his parents, Bob and Winifred Cutts; his son, Andrew Douglas Mason Cutts; his sister, Betty Hyman; his in-laws, Doug and Irene Hadlock; and his nephew Darren Hadlock.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sherrie Ann Cutts; his daughters Christine (Peter) DelSignore, and Tracey (Kevin) Moulton; his grandchildren, Samuel DelSignore, Liam and Mikayla Moulton; his sister, Lois (Bert) Luce; and his brother-in-law, David (Cheryl) Hadlock; along with several nieces and nephews.
