UPDATED SERVICES INFO: A graveside ceremony will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 11 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Queensbury.

GLENS FALLS -- Natalie Bazinet passed into the loving arms of Christ at the age of 89 on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at home with her family. Natalie was born on April 23, 1934 to Ernest "Lynwood" Chase and Ruth (Taylor) Chase at their home on Mason St. in Glens Falls. After high school graduation she was employed at the Glens Falls Insurance Co. where she worked until the birth of her first child when she became a stay-at-home mom.

On May 14, 1955 she married her beloved husband, William F. Bazinet at St. Mary's Church in Glens Falls.  Together they enjoyed sixty-eight wonderful years of marriage. She enjoyed cooking for her family, baking, and crocheting. She became a teacher's assistant at Big Cross St. School and became a life member at Big Cross St. PTA. Natalie was a member of St. Alphonsus Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, Christian Service committee, St. Anne's Sodality and a retreat team member.

In her mid-forties she became a licensed practical nurse at Glens Falls Hospital, where she totally enjoyed caring for the sick for 17 years.

In addition to her parents and grandparents, Natalie was predeceased by her son, Paul Bazinet, her grandson, Michael Lemery, and a brother, David Chase.

Those left to cherish her memory are her spouse, William F. Bazinet; her children, Julie (Scott) Clum, Joseph Bazinet, Andrew (Lori) Bazinet; her daughter-in-law, Deborah Bazinet; her grandchildren, Stephen Bazinet, Peter Clum, Eric Lemery, Dominique Bennet and T.J. Lambert; her sister Carolyn Briggs and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 4, from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafyette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 5, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Desmond Rossi and the Rev. Thomas Babiuch at St. Joseph's Church in Fort Edward.

A graveside ceremony will take place in the spring at St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Queensbury.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Rev. Desmond Rossi and Rev. Thomas Babiuch for their pastoral care and moral support, and to Mary Ramsey, Bonnie Francet, Kathy Bryant, Gayle Smith, Sharon and Paul Usher, Tina Houston, High Peaks Hospice, Kim Neal, and Sandra Lashway.
