WARRENSBURG -- Orson G. Garnsey, 75, of Hudson St., Warrensburg, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015.
Born in Troy on August 1, 1939, he was the son of Orson and Vernabel (Burton) Garnsey.
Orson attended Schuylerville Schools and became a licensed electrician working on projects across the U.S.A.
Orson enjoyed NASCAR, joking around, camp at Parishville, eating out and for his last two years, his wonderful day's activities at Tri-County Nursing Home Adult Day care with Suzanne, Dot and Kim.
Along with his parents, Orson was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and Burton; two sisters Edith Nadeau and Betty Priest; and wives Karen (Smith) Garnsey and Jane (Dixon) Garnsey.
He is survived by his three sons, Orson (Leslie) of Sierra Vista, Az., Andrew of Gouverneur, NY and Kevin of Calif.; two granddaughters Tamara Garnsey and Kristin (Colten) Szaniszlo of Tucson, Az.; two great grand-children, Sophia and Dristan; step children include Jeff of Penn., Burton of Calif., and Jennifer Smith in Utah; two sisters Alice O'Keefe of South Glens Falls and Esther Robbins of Wallingford, Vt.; many nieces and nephews; and his longtime companion Patricia Vaisey and her family of Warrensburg.
Orson will be buried this spring beside his parents in Fairmont Cemetery, Quaker Springs as he had requested.
