SOUTH GLENS FALLS – Patricia Ann Baker, 81, of Lamplighter Acres, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016 at home surrounded by her children.
Born September 4, 1934 in Johnson Vt. she was the daughter of the late Trefley J. and Emma G. (Wildes) West.
She moved to New York in 1952 where she married Charles R. Baker who passed away July 1984. Together they had 9 children.
Family was the most important thing in her life. Her heart was over-filled with love for each and every one that was in her family and that meant everyone that touched her life. She tried to give individual time to all her children and grandchildren but found that a houseful completed her with Love, Laughter and Joy. And even in the last hours of her life, she was surround by her children and grandchildren, I know her heart was filled with an overwhelming amount of joy.
And finally, family dinners were very important to her. She would bake for hours (making bread and rolls, pies, and donuts) because to her a "full stomach makes a happy heart" (Spanish proverb). Her last hours on earth, even while medicated, she told my brother that she was making bread for her children. Her love will be everlasting.
Along with her parents and former husband, she was predeceased by two children, Pamela Baker and Thomas Baker.
