Starts at 11:00 am (Eastern time)
Patricia L. Carpenter, 87, of Queensbury, NY, passed away peacefully at home on July 19, 2026, surrounded by family.
Born in Weirton, WV, Pat built a life centered on faith, music, and service. After marrying William C. Carpenter in 1961, they moved to Glens Falls, NY in 1964, later building their home in Queensbury, where they raised their family.
Pat's greatest joys were her husband, her family, her faith, flowers, and music. An Alderson Broaddus College graduate with degrees in Christian Education and Music, she shared her gifts - singing in church choirs and Mastersingers, playing clarinet with the Lake George Community Band, nurturing her flower gardens, and joining garden clubs. Pat delighted in creating beautiful arrangements for Caldwell Presbyterian Church, where they attended for 40+ years.
Pat worked alongside Bill in their electrical contracting business, later enjoying a career as a real estate agent. She was a loving, fun, joy-filled mother, the best Grandma! Pat loved children and teens, co-leading the Baptist Youth Fellowship with Bill early in their marriage and leading a local 4-H club for ten years.
Pat is survived by her devoted husband, Bill Carpenter; her children, Lorrie Seabury (Richard), Sherry Risley, Gabrielle Carpenter (Larry Crandall), and Eric Carpenter (Tiffany Cooper); and her grandchildren, Gavin Seabury (Victoria), Garrett Seabury, Tristen Seabury, Joseph ("Liam") Risley, and Leiryn Carpenter Crandall.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Geraldine Allen; and siblings Genevieve Johnson, Lila Walters, Janet Paulin, Betty Baker, and Dean Allen.
Pat will be remembered for her faith, kindness, intelligence, welcoming smile, and the love she shared.
A Memorial Service will be held on August 10, 2026, at 11 a.m. Caldwell Presbyterian Church, Lake George, NY.
Flowers are warmly welcomed, or consider a memorial donation to the Caldwell Presbyterian Flower Fund, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Condolences may be sent directly to Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804, or through www.bakerfuneralhome.com.
