GLENS FALLS --- Paul Richard, 73, of Cortland St., passed away Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016 following a long illness.

Born Aug. 26, 1943 in Fitchburg, Mass., he was the son of the late Alfred and Lillian (Psarocost) Richard.

Some of Paul's enjoyments included fishing, hunting, bowling, and going to Cooper St. VFW, where he was a member. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandson, Cameron, showing him how to use tools, build, and dance to country music. He also loved animals, especially the family dog, Pepper.

In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by one sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Richard.

Survivors include his former wife, Joan Richard; one daughter, Suzanne Witshier; one step-daughter, Jody Dake, her son Cameron, and his father, Chris; four sisters, Loretta (Bill) Henderson, Carol Posco, Linda (Edward) Leblanc, and Ronda Richard; four brothers, Stephen (Janice) Richard, Matthew Richard, Bruce (Judy) Richard, and Doug (Donna) Richard; also several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

At his request, there will be no public services.

A private graveside service, with military honors, will take place at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.

Donations, in loving memory of Paul, may be made to C. R. Wood Cancer Center at Glens Falls Hospital, 102 Park St., Glens Falls, NY 12801.
