WEST GLENS FALLS ---
Paul H. Naylor, Sr., 76, of
Division Road passed away
peacefully on Monday, June
18, 2012, at Glens Falls Hospital
after a courageous
hard fought battle.
He was born Oct. 8, 1936,
in West Glens Falls. He was
the son of the late Henry
and Ella Fisher Naylor.
Paul worked for John
Kubricky and Sons as a Superintendent
from 1963 to
1980. He was a past member
to the West Glens Falls Rescue
Squad in early years.
He was also a member of
the Grange.
Paul will be most remembered
for his time with the
Town of Queensbury Highway
Department; he started
at age 16, then returned in
1981 where he retired as
Highway Superintendent
after proudly serving 18
years. He was known for his
tell it like it is, and a hand
shake is your word.
He loved his camper,
taking the grandkids to the
balloon festival and never
missed a weekend at the
Rutland fair with just him
and the boy's. Florida trips
were always an adventure.
His greatest joy was watching
and cheering his grandsons
in sports, no matter
how cold or how far he had
to go, he was there.
He was predeceased
by his father and mother,
mother-in-law, Josephine
Roccasecca, brother, Edward
H. Naylor, sisters,
Mamie Manney, Thelma
Seybolt, Loretta Missita,
and Vivian Jarvis.
He is survived by his wife,
of 56 years, Mary Naylor;
son, Paul Naylor his wife,
Roberta; daughters, Pam
Naylor, Paula Granger and
her husband, Louis (Punk)
Granger; the loves of his
life, his grandchildren, Anthony
Naylor, Cody Granger,
Caleb Granger and Lindsey
Naylor; his sisters, Norma
(Hank) John, Gail Dewitt,
and Betty (Louie) Hoffis;
many nieces and nephews;
very special people in his
life that are thought of as
family, Ronnie, Vivian and
Tory Delong, Tieka, John,
Jillian and Janessa Harrington
and Uncle Bud.
There will be no services
upon Paul's request.
Burial will be private and
at the convenience of the
family at West Glens Falls
Cemetery, Queensbury.
