Obituary

Queensbury --- Paula J. Lupo, 81, of Queensbury, NY, passed away surrounded by her husband and children on July 20, 2017 at Glens Falls Hospital following a short illness.  Born February 20, 1936 in Exeter, N.H., she is predeceased by her parents Evelyn and Pat Paterson.

Paula graduated from Portsmouth (NH) High School in 1953.  After graduation, she worked as a teletype operator at the Portsmouth Navy Yard where she met her future husband.  They were married in a Marine Corps military wedding six months after their first date.  Paula and Larry spent the next 62 years together enjoying a full life with their expanding family.

Her happiest times were spent with her children and grandchildren, and she loved hearing about their many interests and adventures.  Paula's cooking and baking were always a highlight of family events and she enjoyed the time she spent passing these skills on to her grandchildren.  She loved watching all sports and was an avid Yankees fan.

Her family remembers her as an exceptionally kind, patient, and loving person who accepted everyone without judgment.  She prayed nightly for all those who touched her life, a long list, including family pets.

Survivors include her husband, Lawrence, their dog Jimmi, and their five children: John Lupo of Queensbury; Deb and Tom Teitsworth of Ridgefield, CT and their children Tim, Elly, Abby, and Jill; Lori and Mike Francett and their daughter Emma, of Queensbury; Tony Lupo and Ginny Larner of Ballston Spa, Tony's son Jeremiah, and Ginny's son Zac; and Matt Lupo and Becky Phipps of Greensboro, NC  She is also survived by her beloved cousins, Nat Walker and Betsey Crespi of NH, Margie Doss of CO, and Ken Freeman of CT.

As Paula wished, there will be a small private service to commemorate her life.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to Double H Ranch , 97 Hidden Valley Rd., Lake Luzerne, NY 12846, or, American Diabetes Association , 5 Pine West Plaza, Suite 505, Albany, NY 12205.

Condolences may be sent directly to Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804, or through www.bakerfuneralhome.com.
