Obituary

NORTH CREEK – On October 25, 2015 Pauline Eagle fell asleep in death at the age of 91.

She was born on September, 7 1924 to Charles and Sophia Volcheck in the small coal-mining town of Vestaburg, PA.

On April 19, 1941 she married John Eagle. Shortly after their marriage then moved to New York City. Two sons were born to Pauline and John, John Jr. in 1946 and Richard in 1950. In 1962 the family moved from New York City to the Adirondack Mountain region of New York.

After living for two years in Bakers Mills they moved to The Glen, a small community about ten miles out of Warrensburg. This would be Pauline's home for the next 42 years until it became necessary for her to move into an assisted care facility in Warrensburg.

Most recently she has been a resident at the Adirondack Tri- County Nursing Home in North Creek, NY.

Pauline is survived by her two sons, John and Richard, along with their wives, Jean and Marlyn. Additionally, she has two grandchildren, Sonya and Sasha; four great-grandchildren, Jamar, Alexandria, Stephanie, and Diego; and three great-great- grandchildren.

As one of Jehovah's Witnesses from the late 1950's to the time of her death, Pauline had a strong faith in God's Word and in particular the promise of the resurrection. One scripture that she found to be very comforting, especially after the death of her husband in 1987, was what Jesus said at John 5:28 – "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out…"

Her loving way, giving spirit and kindness will be missed temporarily by her family and friends, until the time of the resurrection when they can once again be united to enjoy endless life in perfect health on a Paradise earth.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Adirondack Tri-County Nursing Home for the love and care they showed while Pauline was a resident there.

On Nov. 2, 2015 at 5 p.m. there will be a memorial talk at the Warrensburg Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Horicon Ave. All are welcome to attend.

Condolences may be sent directly to Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
