Obituary

FORT EDWARD --- Pauline V. (LaMoy) LaCross, 82, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014 at Fort Hudson Nursing Home. She was surrounded by her husband, children and several grandchildren. She had struggled for years with Alzheimer's.

Pauline was born April 27, 1932 to Joseph and Malina LaMoy, in Beekmantown, N.Y. She attended Plattsburgh High School where she graduated in 1950 as valedictorian.

After high school, she married Donald J. Plummer and they had four children together. She worked at that time for the New York Telephone Co., where she received many awards as a supervisor.

In March of 1966, Pauline married a second time to Alvin W. LaCross, who had two children and they had a son together. She stayed home for many of the following years taking good care of her family. Pauline enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, and baking for her family and the community. She was often seen bringing baked goods to her neighborhood firehouse and pharmacy. She was known for her apple pie and apple stuffed cookies. Pauline loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved a trip taken in 2005 to the Outer Banks, N.C. with 19 family members.

Pauline attended church regularly and was a member of the Catholic Daughters for many years. Her faith was very important to her and she was truly a Christian to anyone she encountered throughout the years.
