LAKE GEORGE-Peter D. Bovair, 70, of Lockhart Mountain Road, Lake George, died unexpectedly Friday, December 1, 2017.

Peter was born November 14, 1947 in Glens Falls, the son of Israel "Pete" and Thelma (Pepin) Bovair.

He married Jacquline Marie Lockhart on October 12, 1968 at St. James Episcopal Church in Lake George.

Peter worked in sales and as a U.P.S. driver for many years, which was his favorite job.

When he was not working, he loved spending time at Capri Pizzeria and with his family and friends. He loved sitting on the back porch looking over Lake George. The light of his life was his beautiful granddaughter, Gracie.

Besides his parents, Peter was predeceased in death by his young brother, David; infant sister, Rhoda; and his brother, Bryan.

Survivors include his loving wife, Jacquline and their two children, Tiffany (Todd) Tucker and Peter John "PJ" Bovair; one granddaughter, Grace Marie Tucker, the love of his life; one sister, Barbara (Keith) Evans; one brother, Roland Bovair; sisters-in-law, Linda Bovair, Sue Johnson, Jaime (Randy) Beecher, Brenda (David) Vogt, Schelly Shaughnessy, and Jennifer (Joel) Clark; also many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 6, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette Street, Queensbury.

Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, 172 Ottawa Street, Lake George, with The Rev. Jean DeVaty, officiating.

Burial will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Lake George.

Friends are invited back to the church hall for a reception following the burial.
