FORT EDWARD --- Peter Paul Leonbruno, 90, died peacefully in his sleep Tuesday, October 21, 2025.

Born March 21, 1935, in Glens Falls, New York he was the son of Salvator and Dorothy May (Provost) Leonbruno.

Peter graduated from Whitehall High School. He was very proud of his achievements such as being the student council leader and prom king. Peter was also an avid sports player, he played football where he was known as "Peet the Fleet" his junior and senior year (his team was undefeated), track, basketball, baseball, and boxing where he participated in the Golden Glove.

Following high school in 1953, he enlisted in the National Guard.

Peter worked for General Electric for many years as a senior advisor to the engineers, he redesigned machines to be more productive. Most recently Peter ran local businesses, and he was very successful in Real Estate.

In Peters later years, he enjoyed fishing at his camp on South Bay in Whitehall.

On September 30, 2023, Peter married Melanie Aratare.

In addition to his parents, Peter was predeceased by his son, Christopher Dean Leonbruno;  and his siblings, Theodore, Thomas, Salvatore, Marion, Frank, and Dorothy.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Melanie Leonbruno; mother of his children, Nancy Leonbruno; children, Perry (Jaylene) Leonbruno of South Glens Falls, Peter (Lori) Leonbruno Jr. of Georgia, and Thomas (Rodney) Leonbruno of Florida; step-daughter, Erica Aratare; grandchildren, Jade, and Gennah Leonbruno; step-grandchild, Navayah Forrest; also, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends and family are invited to call from 5 to 6:30pm on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A graveside ceremony will take place on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at Pine View Cemetery, 21 Quaker Road, Queensbury, NY 12804
