Rachael M.
Wright
Sep 14, 1986 — May 16, 2025
GLENS FALLS --- Rachael M. Wright, 38, of Glens Falls, NY died unexpectedly after a short illness, on Friday, May 16, 2025.
Born September 14, 1986, to G. Jeffery and Cathy (Parker) Wright.
Rachael was a kind soul who always had empathy and understanding for anyone she met. She was a creative person who enjoyed all forms of art and expression.
She could craft the most authentic and beautiful pieces with nothing more than whatever materials were at hand combined with her brilliant imagination.
She loved to get worn garden decor and restore it back to life. She was a self-taught painter, knitter, sculptor, and puppet maker, with many more passions left to pursue. She was also an avid reader and pop culture enthusiast whose encyclopedic-like knowledge was unmatched. There was nothing she couldn't figure out. Nothing beyond her scope. No conversation she couldn't contribute to.
Her passion, creativity, and love of theater brought her to the Hudson River Theater Company in the summer of 2006 where she would go on to help with the production of many shows. While she had roles on stage, she excelled behind the curtain. She did everything from running the lighting and soundboard, to hand-crafting props and portions of the sets. The friends and memories she made during her time there will be cherished forever.
At home, Rachael cherished the many pets she has had throughout her life. She leaves behind her dogs Remy and Fizzgig, and her cats Zephyr and Willow.
Rachael leaves behind her father, many aunts and uncles and many more cousins. She also leaves behind a small circle of close friends who she kept, as well as their children, close to her heart.
Lastly, Rachael leaves her brother, Justin, with whom she shared a special bond, his wife, Tammy and her mother and best friend, Cathy.
Rachael, meet us at the clearing at the end of the path.
Our journey with you has been too short, but the steps have been filled with light.
A private service for close family will be held at Baker Funeral Home at a future date.
Rachael, we love you and will miss you very much.
Condolences may be sent directly to Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804, or through www.bakerfuneralhome.com.
