QUEENSBURY --- Rene Diamantis, beloved wife and mother, passed away on January 6, 2018 at home. She was 84 years old.

Born September 26, 1933 in Syracuse, NY, she was daughter of the late Costantinos Intze and Helen (Pananos) Intze.

On June 14, 1953, she married Lloyd Diamantis in Syracuse, NY.

Rene graduated from Syracuse Central High School. Throughout her career, she worked at various schools and colleges in administrative assistant positions.

She attended St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in South Glens Falls, NY.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Rene enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, camping, crafting and baking.

Those left to cherish her memory include her devoted husband of nearly 65 years, Lloyd, and her children, James (Hope) Diamantis of Florida, Elaine Diamantis Madison of Queensbury, Charles (Diane) Diamantis of Florida, and Michael (Maria) Diamantis of North Carolina; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, George (Chryssanthi) Intze of Syracuse; sister-in-law, Sophie Mistos of West Springfield, Massachusetts, and five nieces.

Calling hours will take place Tuesday, January 9, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
