GLENS FALLS – Renée Jasmine (Keith) Phillips, 47, of Orville St., Glens Falls, lost her courageous battle with cancer Monday, Dec. 1, 2014 at Glens Falls Hospital with her loving family at her side.
Born Nov. 26, 1967 in Glens Falls, Renée was the daughter of Edwin and Ruth (Monroe) Keith.
Renée graduated from Glens Falls High School and was a long term employee at C. R. Bard.
On Sept. 8, 1990 Renée married Craig Phillips and spent a wonderful 24 years together.
Bargain shopping, thrift store shopping, and going on cruises were some of her favorite hobbies. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren, singing and dancing with her husband, and helping those in need.
Renée was an extremely compassionate woman who was devoted to her family, was an amazing friend to many people, and truly enjoyed helping others. She will be terribly missed by all who knew her.
Renée was predeceased by her father, Edwin Keith; her sister, Julie Keith; paternal grandparents, Winfred McGuire and Henry Keith; along with maternal grandparents, Vida and Arthur Monroe.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Craig Phillips of Glens Falls; her children, Stephen Stout (fiancée, Keisha Bell) of Glens Falls and his children, Tyler and Madison Stout, Sara Stout-Kaiser (husband Jon) of Queensbury with their daughter, the newest addition to the family, Avalyn Kaiser; Christopher Phillips of Queensbury, and Ashley Phillips of Glens Falls and her children, Morgan and Dane Phillips; her mother, Ruth (Monroe) Keith of Warrensburg; her brothers, James Keith (his daughter Melissa and her daughter Ivy) of Queensbury, Jody Keith of Glens Falls, Kevin Keith (wife Tammy and their son Konnor and daughter Kennedy) of Hudson Falls; aunts and uncles include Marion Russell (husband Wymon), Bertha Lagoy, Eva Monroe, Carol Gates, Mary Williams, Martha Monroe, Dale Brauser (husband Jerry), Roger Monroe, Norma Wrye, and Terry Keith (wife Margie); cousins Tammy Tougaw and Dan Wrye (wife Heidi) and many other cousins; also several nieces, nephews, and her beloved dog, Foster, and her cats.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, Dec. 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
A time to share memories will follow at 4 p.m., at the funeral home.
Everyone is encouraged to recite a poem or tell stories of their moments with Renée.
A graveside service will take place Friday, May 22, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Bay Street Cemetery in Glens Falls.
