Obituary

Argyle, NY – Richard Cordero passed away after a long illness on September 8, 2026.

Born on November 18, 1946, in Brooklyn, NY the son of Anthony and Josephine Sabbatini.

He worked for many years in the Brooklyn Navy Yard and as a taxi driver in New York City.

Richard enjoyed music, especially Elvis Presley. He enjoyed watching sporting games, he was a fan of the Mets and the Buffalo Bills, and watching old westerns.

He is predeceased by his loving wife, Kathleen Cordero; parents, Anthony and Josephine Sabbatini; and siblings, Raymond Montanino and Florence Sweeney.

Richard is survived by his children, Lori (Michael) Minor, Kerry Cordero, Richard (Jaime) Cordero, and Jenny (Andrew) Kreutz; grandchildren, Chelsea, Chris, Corey, Kayla, Anthony, Lorie, Tyler and Amelia; great grandchildren, Cole, Aubree, Wyatt and Lilah; sisters, Loretta Hager and Frances Totino; brothers, Anthony Sabbatini and Joey Cordero; many nephews, nieces and a special pet, Red.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Washington Center in Argyle for their kindness, patience and dedication towards Richard.
