UPDATED FUNERAL NOTICE:
WINTER GARDEN, FLA. - Richard Martin Sheridan, 79, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family members.
He was born January 3, 1940 in Brooklyn to Martin and Margaret Sheridan.
Calling hours will take place Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
A Memorial Mass will follow at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 80 Saratoga Ave., South Glens Falls, with the Rev. Guy A Childs officiating.
Condolences may be mailed directly to Baker Funeral Home.

Richard Martin Sheridan, 79 of Winter Garden, Florida passed away Sunday, February, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family members. He was born January 3, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York to Martin and Margaret Sheridan.

He is survived by his loving wife, Diane of 49 years; Son and Daughter in law, Jason and Vicki Sheridan; grandsons, Martin and Alex all of Winter Garden, Florida, and Eric Austin of Lafayette, Louisiana; Brothers, Martin and Beti of Marlboro, New Jersey, John of England, Robert and Cheryl of Granville, New York, and Thomas and Jodi of Bolton Landing, New York; Sisters, Barbara and John Murray of Marlboro, New Jersey, and Marcie Dougan of Queensbury, New York. Richard also leaves behind numerous Nieces and Nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; his Sister, Peggy La Brum of Queensbury, New York; Foster Parents, Barney and Ethel Snyder of Bolton Landing, New York.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1964. Richard graduated from the State University of New York in Albany, New York.

He started his career in accounting at E. J. Corvette in New York City and later went on to work for Scott Paper Company in Glens Falls, New York as Purchasing and Control Manager. The remainder of his career was spent in Pennsylvania at Super Pac, Inc. as Director of Logistics.
Richards' desire to serve his community was demonstrated by his volunteer work in multiple organizations throughout his life.

He retired to Winter Garden, Florida 10 years ago with his wife, Diane. He was a proud member of The American Legion Post 63, where he established a blood drive in Winter Garden. He was an active volunteer at Golden Pond and Health Center.

There will be no calling hours, Services will be held in the Spring or early Summer at Bolton Landing, New York.

In Richards' memory the family would appreciate contributions to The American Legion Post 63, 271 W. Plant Street, Winter Garden, Florida 34787.
May his wife, Diane and son, Jason be strengthened in the days ahead by the memory of Richards devotion and gentleness, which he constantly provided as a "Loving Husband and proud Father.
