QUEENSBURY --- Robbie G. Harris, 51, most recently of Minnesota Ave., passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 12, 2018.

Born June 7, 1966 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Thelma (Harris) Sherman.

Robbie attended Queensbury High School before earning a Bachelor's Degree in English, as well as a Master's Degree in Education from National University with a teaching credential.

Some of his enjoyments included writing stories and poetry. He also enjoyed fishing.

On October 16, 1987, Robbie enlisted in the United States Army National Guard, serving four years until his honorable discharge October 4, 1992. He reenlisted into the Marine Corps on March 23, 1992 and served until his honorable discharge from that branch April 22, 1996.

In addition to his mother, Robbie was predeceased by his grandfather, George A. Harris, and an uncle, George A. Harris, Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Teresa Harris; 8 children, Nakita Valentine (Christopher), Robbie W. Harris, Maggie and Gavin Ferguson, and Hayden, Hannah, Heylee, and Hunter Harris; grandmother, Eleanor J. Harris; aunts and uncles, Marjorie Dresser (Jay), Marie Williams, Virgil Harris (Sheila), and Ruth Walker (Dale); and several cousins.

There will be no formal public services.

Interment with military honors will be private at the convenience of the family at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
