WARRENSBURG --- Robert E. Butler, 86, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 in his sleep at Hudson Park Rehab and Nursing Center.
Born on September 13, 1930 in Bolton Landing, he was the son of Clarence and Elizabeth (Weller) Butler.
Robert was a graduate of Bolton Landing School.
From 1951 to 1953, Robert was enlisted in the United States Army.
For over twenty-five years, he was employed at Stewart's Dairy in Saratoga.
Robert was married to Eleanor A. Rammers on November 10, 1952. This year, they would've have been married for 65 years, however, she passed on August 29, 2007.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by 7 siblings and a grandchild, Donny Robert.
Those left to cherish his memory are his six children, Llora Norton, Vivian (Andrew) Griffin, Georgia (David) Mcenaney, Robert (Lois) Butler, Frank (Dianne) Butler and LeRoy Butler; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Cole; three brothers, David Butler, Jake Norton and Forest Butler; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 19 at Assembly of God Church, 3990 Main St., Warrensburg, with the Rev. Ron Parisis officiating.
A gathering at the church will take place after the service.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Hudson Park Rehab and Nursing Center for taking care of Dad.
