LAKE GEORGE --- Robert Clemons, 80, passed away Friday evening, October 28, 2016 at Glens Falls Hospital, with his family by his side.

Born Jan. 23, 1936 he was the son of the late Robert and Mary (Keyser) Clemons. Bob was born and raised in Scotia, N.Y.

Later residing in Lomontville, he became a lifelong member and chief of the Lomontville Fire Department. He also worked for GE, IBM, and served in the Air National Guard.

For over 30 years, Bob owned and operated Clemons Communications Service in Port Ewen, N.Y. He moved to Tillson and then to his most loved location - Dunham Bay on Lake George with his best pal "Harley." Most recently, Bob enjoyed working part time at Lowe's in Queensbury following his retirement.

In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his first, wife Eva (Catallo) Clemons, and brother, Bruce.

He was best friend and loving husband of Lesley Clemons; father of Robert (Linda) Clemons of Millersville, MD, and Bonnie Clemons of San Diego, CA; stepfather to Michael Rizzotto of Tillson, N.Y.; as well as uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Ali Trowbridge officiating.

Burial will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4 at Hurley Cemetery on Zandhoek Rd. in Hurley, N.Y.
