Obituary

SOUTH GLENS FALLS – Robert "Jarheadbob" Forth, 67, passed away at home Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, from complications of Agent Orange (Cancer), with his loving wife by his side.
Born Nov. 12, 1946, Bob was the son of the late Frank M. and Yvonne (Constantineau) Forth.
Bob was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps from 1966 to 1968, where he attained the rank of Lance Corporal. He received his Expert Rifle and Pistol Badge as well as a Combat Action Ribbon and a Purple Heart Medal for wounds receive in the Vietnam War. He lived with the horrid combat memories for over 40 years and never realized the pain he was living with until Doctor Donald Merrihew offered his help and gained Bob's trust.
On Aug. 25, 1984, Bob married the love of his life, Tina DuBois, at City Hall in Glens Falls.
Bob was employed by Local 229 Carpenters/Millwrights Local in Glens Falls until his retirement in 2001. He also spent many hours working with his close friend Mike "YAHOO" Blackburn. Most importantly he was reunited with his close friend Ralph Balfour after 40 + years, who transported Bob many, many times to the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center for his excellent care.
Bob will always be remembered for being a stubborn man.
In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his son, Joesph, and his brothers, Bill and John.
Bob's is survived by Best Friend and loving wife, Tina; his daughters, Jodi, and Bridget Doyle and her husband, Matthew; his granddaughters, Nova and Emily; and his loving and very talented great nephew, Dyllan "Penucchi" J. Parker.
Private services, with military honors, will be held at a later date and time at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Saratoga, N.Y.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Doctor Eugene Kim and his staff at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center and Charlie Bearce and Sam Hall, "veterans service agent."
