Obituary

QUEENSBURY --- Robert Lawrence Johnson, 66, of Stevens Rd., Queensbury, passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 at his home surrounded by loved ones.

Born Dec. 23, 1949 in Glens Falls, he was the son of Francis and Helen (Harold) Johnson.

Bob was a graduate of Queensbury High School. For many years, he was a dedicated employee for Sandy Hill Corporation in Hudson Falls.

Bob enlisted in the United States Army Feb. 18, 1971, serving in Germany during the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged Feb. 17, 1977.

He truly enjoyed antique cars, visiting local diners to have coffee with his friends, and watching old westerns.

In addition to his parents and grandparents, Bob was predeceased by a brother, John Johnson, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Survivors include his two children, Jeremy (Angela) Johnson of Argyle, and Michelle Brown of Queensbury; four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Brittany, Macie, and Bailey; a brother, Thomas (Laurel) Jonson of Queensbury; a niece, April (Scott) VanDerwerken of Queensbury; two nephews, Andy (Lori) Johnson and their children Riley and Alex, all of Glens Falls, and Adam Johnson of Queensbury; also several cousins.

Calling hours will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

Interment, with military honors, will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, at Mount Herman Cemetery in Queensbury, with the Rev. John Tether officiating.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to his best friend, Vinnie Fragassi for all his help and coffee visits.
