Robert J. Lynch (Uncle Bob), 76, passed away after a long illness, Tuesday, January 2, 2025 surrounded by family at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born September 7, 1948 in Glens Falls, New York. He was the son of Robert and Jeannette (Genier) Lynch.
Robert graduated from Adirondack Community College and attended UCLA. He worked for Wilton Developmental Center.
Robert enjoyed traveling with friends and family. He was well-versed in buying and selling antiques. Robert had great knowledge of history and enjoyed sharing it with many people over the years. He opened his heart and home throughout his lifetime helping anyone in need. Uncle Bob was truly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Robert is predeceased by his father, Robert J. Lynch and mother, Jeannette G. (Genier) Lynch; sister, Josephine Tranowicz; nephew, Billy Harrington; brother-in-law, Ronald. R. Butler; and many aunts and uncles.
Robert is survived by his brother, William Lynch ( Roulyan) of Albany; sister Celina Butler of Queensbury; special niece Diane Beaudette (Jamie Flansburg); niece, Deborah Beaudette (Jim) of Queensbury; nephew, Frankie Tranowicz of Lake George; niece, Virginia Ellis (Jeff ) of Fort Ann; 8 great nieces and nephews; 8 great great nieces and nephews; long time friend, Paul Thomas;
caregivers, Tina Taylor and Ellen Grayko; and his cat Ava, the love of his life.
We want to thank Glens Hospital for all the wonderful care and compassion they gave to uncle Bob .
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of his family.
