Obituary

Queensbury - Bob Mitchell, affectionately known as Rorrie, will be remembered for his kind heart, quick wit, and deep love for the people in his life. Loving and sensitive, generous and intelligent, he brought warmth, laughter, and a special spark to those fortunate enough to know him.

Rorrie had a curious mind and a wide range of interests. He loved skiing, cars, and boating, appreciated the finer things in life, and was always ready to tackle a project with his hands and ingenuity. He also had a collector’s eye for the things he loved, pursuing his interests with enthusiasm and care. His passion for life was reflected in the many experiences he enjoyed and the things he took pride in along the way.

Rorrie also served in the National Guard, an important part of his life and personal history.

Throughout his career, Rorrie enjoyed an extensive and successful career in sales, spanning both the jewelry and luxury recreational vehicle industries. His professional journey reflected his knowledge, ambition, and appreciation for quality.

Above all, family held a special place in Rorrie’s heart. He took a genuine interest in the lives of his nieces and nephews, keeping up with their experiences, celebrating their accomplishments, and sharing their joys. He cherished the many happy holidays, family celebrations, and ski trips they enjoyed together. From laughter around the holiday table to adventures on the slopes, these moments created treasured memories that his family will carry with them always.

Rorrie is lovingly remembered by his sisters, Lisa McIntyre and her husband, Rob, and Susan Harper and her husband, Jack; along with their children, Casey and her wife, Alyssa, Brian, Connor, Jamie, and Samantha. The love, laughter, and time they shared will remain a lasting source of comfort and connection for his family.

Rorrie leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, humor, and cherished memories. Though he will be deeply missed, the love he gave and the happiness he brought to those around him will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.
