GANSEVOORT --- Robert D. Tracy, 67, of Cole Brook Road, passed away unexpectedly Friday, August 24, 2018.
Born June 20, 1951 in Glens Falls, he was the son of Ignatuis and Phoebia (Baker) Tracy.
Robert worked for Fort Edward Express, and was a self-employed logger.
His favorite thing to do was spending with his grandbabies. Robert had a love for food, he was a foodaholic, and enjoyed going out to eat. He liked hunting, fishing, NASCAR, and was very outgoing, he could talk to a stranger for hours about anything.
Robert married the love of his life, Julie Johnson on September 11, 1976 in South Glens Falls.
In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his brothers, Jesse, David, Jack, and Zane; and a sister, Jill.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Julie; children, Dallas Tracy of TX, Kristie Tracy and her son, Xavier of Gansevoort, and Mark (Noelle) Tracy and their two kids, Arabella and Riley of Gansevoort; sisters, Nancy, and Sherry Yenda; a brother, Ricky; his mother and father-in-law, Melvin and June Johnson; also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will take place Thursday, Aug. 30 from 11 a.m. to noon at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
A memorial service will follow at noon at the funeral home.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the emergency room staff at The Glens Falls Hospital. They would also like to extend a special thank you to all the 911 responders that showed up to the Tracy's home. They went above and beyond, and the family can't thank them enough.
