UPDATED SERVICE INFO: A graveside ceremony with military honors, will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 at 5 p.m. at Southside Cemetery in South Glens Falls.

HUDSON FALLS --- Robert "Robby" W. LaBarge, age 66, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Wesley Healthcare Facility in Saratoga after a brief illness.

Born June 22, 1958 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Robert and Freda (Palmer) LaBarge.

Robby attended school in Lake George and was known for playing jokes on his siblings. In 1976, he enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged.

In more recent years, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, putting puzzles together, and woodworking. As a mechanic, he had a passion for cars and trucks, working on his Ford Falcons, and going to the dirt track races with his brother, Gordie, and his children. He loved helping anyone who needed a hand.

In addition to his parents, Robby was predeceased by three brothers, Gordon, Ralph, and Keith LaBarge, as well as a brother-in-law, Wayne Barker.

Survivors include his daughter, Rebecca (Jay) Matraw; son, Robert J. LaBarge; three granddaughters, Sage and Brittney Matraw, and Violet LaBarge; 5 great-grandchildren, Hunter and Everleigh Matraw, Gabriel and Savanah Woods, and Rowan Delk; 5 sisters, Marchelle LaBarge (Walter), Zoe Bruce (Tim), Denise Rivers (Leon), Nichola "Niki" LaBarge, and Mary Barker; 2 aunts, Estella LaBarge and Pauline Palmer; 2 uncles, Ralph (Donna) Palmer and David Palmer; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside ceremony with military honors will take place in the spring at Southside Cemetery in South Glens Falls.

Following the interment, the family will be holding a celebration of his life.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to High Peaks Hospice and also to the staff at Wesley Healthcare Facility for all of their care and support.
