Obituary

HUDSON FALLS --- Roberta "Faye" (Carpenter) Palmer, 83, of St. Paul's Drive, Hudson Falls, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at Glens Falls Center, formerly known as The Stanton.

Born April 17, 1934 in Ticonderoga, she was the daughter of Harry M. and Cora E. (Hurlburt) Carpenter.

Faye graduated from Hudson Falls High School, Class of 1952.

On January 21, 1956, she married Charles E. Palmer in Glens Falls.

Faye was a past member of St. Ann's Sodality, and St. Mary's / St. Alphonsus Church. She was also the den mother of cub scouts.

Her enjoyments were vacationing in Maine, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Faye was predeceased by her husband, Charles, who passed away July of 1966; brother, Robert E. Carpenter; sister, Barbara Jean Murphy; brother-in-law, William L. Murphy; and a sister-in-law, Carrie D. Carpenter.

Those left to cherish her memory are her four sons, whom she raised by herself, William (Diane) Palmer, Michael Palmer, Bruce (Sandra) Palmer, and Paul (Michelle) Palmer; sister, Beverly Carpenter; grandsons, Jason Palmer, Christopher Palmer, and Brandon Palmer; granddaughters, Meredith Dowen, Tanis Monroe, Sarah Morris, Alissa Palmer, and Madison Palmer; great-grandsons, Caden, Maddox, and Nolan Palmer; great-granddaughters, Chloe and Leigha Monroe, Regan Dowen, and Aria Morris; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours will take place Sunday, Jan. 7, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

Bay Ridge Vol. Fire Co. will perform a brief ceremony at 2 p.m. during the visitation.

A funeral service will follow the visitation at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Bill Bazinet, officiating.

A graveside service will be held in the spring at St. Mary's Cemetery, South Glens Falls.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Glens Falls Center for their compassionate care of Mom.
