QUEENSBURY --- Romeo J. Boulet Jr., 80, of Queensbury, passed away March 16, 2013.
Born March 11, 1933 in Glens Falls he was the son of the late Laurencia (Blondin) and Romeo J. Boulet Sr.
Romeo attended St. Paul's School and St. Mary's Academy and graduated from Hudson Falls High School in 1951. Romeo enlisted in the US Air Force in 1951 and was honorably discharged in 1955, having both served here and in the Pacific.
In 1956 he married Maria (Portillo) Boulet and they spent 45 loving years together raising their seven children.
Romeo retired from Finch & Pruyn in 1988. He was a long time member of the Hudson Falls Fish and Game Protective Association.
Predeceased by his parents, his wife, and his sister Alberta (Sister Bernadette) Boulet.
Survivors include his children: Rita (Matt) Hoag of Hudson Falls, Rachel (Robert) Bedore of Queensbury, Lauren Buller of Navarre, FL, Joseph Boulet (Jeryl) of Pleasant Hill, CA, Michelle (Mark) Gamblin of Omaha, NE, Patricia (Amit) Zohar of Haiku, HI, and Monique Boulet (Chris Humphrey) of Ballston Spa; grandchildren include Alyssa (Zachary) Harvey of Fort Ann, Adam and Tyler Hoag of Hudson Falls, Nathan Bedore of Fort Worth, TX, Savannah Gamblin of Omaha, NE, and Madeline and Chloe O'Malley of Ballston Spa; great-grandson: Grayson Harvey; sisters: Carolyn Boulet of Saratoga Springs, and Joanne (Jerry) Abrams of West Chazy; brother: George (Patricia) Boulet of Cohoes; aunt: Cecilia Girard of Clinton; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Also surviving is his companion Gloria Mann and her children.
Friends may call upon the family Wednesday, March 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, March 21 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Warren St., Glens Falls, with the Rev. Joseph Manerowski, officiating.
Burial, with military honors, will follow at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd., Schuylerville.
Friends are invited to join the family for a gathering following the burial, at 2:30 p.m. at Rachel Bedore's home, 1 Mabel Terrace, Queensbury.
