LAKE GEORGE--- Ronald E. Gates, 49, of Lockhart Mt. Rd., passed away Monday, October 14, at his home.
Born August 19, 1964, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Robert and Carol (Monroe) Gates.
Ronald enjoyed fishing and watching all kinds of sports. His favorite teams were NY Giants, and the NY Yankees. He was a big fan of NASCAR as well with #88 Dale Earnhart Jr. being his favorite driver.
Ronald grew up in Lake George and attended Lake George School. He was funny with a great sense of humor and very well liked. Many of his friends called him "Gator".
He was a painter working for his brother at RDT Paint Specialist out of South Glens Falls.
In addition to his parents, Ronald is survived by his daughter, Angela Gates, of New York City; two sisters, Jessica and Hanna Gates, of New Orleans; two brothers, Randy Gates, of South Glens Falls and Robbie Gates, of Gansevoort.
Friends may call upon the family Thursday, October 17, from 11 to 12 pm, at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury.
A funeral service will follow at 12 pm at the funeral home with Sister Donna Irvine, Chaplain at Glens Falls Hospital, officiating.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Lake George.
