GLENS FALLS --- Ronald Howard Measeck, 76, of East State St., passed away after s short illness at Glens Falls Hospital on Wednesday, March 2, 2016.

Born Nov. 12, 1939 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Howard and Anna (Ydikoski) Measeck of South Glens Falls.

On July 15, 1958, Ron enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged July 14, 1964.

After 30 years of dedicated service, Ron retired from Scott Paper Company in Ft. Edward.

Some of his enjoyments included various sports, as well as fishing and spending time in the outdoors.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Marlise Measeck.

Ron leaves behind his longtime companion, Beverly Mumblo of Glens Falls; three children, Ronald Measeck Jr. of Granville, JaNann (John) Winslow of South Glens Falls, and Rachel (Micah) Scoville of Queensbury; four grandchildren, Jordan and Jessica Winslow, and Ava and Jack Scoville; a sister, Susan (Gary) Estabrook of Sevierville, Tenn.; a brother, Richard "Dick" (Ida) Measeck, also of Sevierville, Tenn.; also several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

At the family's request, there will be no calling hours, and a funeral service will be private for immediate family.

Interment will take place in the spring at Southside Cemetery in South Glens Falls.
