ARGYLE --- Rose Daniels, 86, passed away surrounded by her loving family on June 9, 2016, at Glens Falls Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Johnsburg in October of 1929.
Rose married her husband of 70 years Alfred Daniels on February 10, 1946.
Rose loved owning the Kenyontown Trading Post in Thurman with her husband. She was a former Town Clerk of Thurman. Rose worked as a home health aide, although she looked at it as going to visit with friends. She was also the manager of a local home health aide agency for many years. She was a very caring and compassionate person, and always put the needs of others before her own. She would never let someone spend a holiday alone. If you didn't have a place to go, no matter who you were, you were welcome at her table. Rose enjoyed reading, gardening, garage sales, rummikub and tea parties. Above all, Rose loved her family. She loved spending time with them and hosting family dinners. She was the absolute best mother and grandmother there has ever been.
Rose was predeceased by her father Gordon Tucker. Her mother Alta and stepfather Fletcher Beadnell. Her brother Daniel Weatherwax. Her sisters-in-law Brenda Beadnell and Joan Sprague. Her in-laws Beecher and Gladys Daniels.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Al Daniels; two children, Michael Daniels, and Melody (Brad) Duell; six grandchildren, Angela Mauldin, Michelle (Dain) Whitaker, Michael (Leah) Daniels, Jamie Gonzales, Jennifer Gonzales, Mark (Ken) Petrie; 14 great grandchildren Kurstyn (Andrew)Friel, Elizabeth Mauldin, Isabella Mauldin, Reese Mauldin, Christian Whitaker, Chelsey Morrison, Chandler Whitaker, Adam Whitaker, Alexa Pasley, Cody Pasley, Kinsley Daniels, Makenna Daniels, Cameron Petrie, and Lexi Petrie; two great-great-grandchildren, Rylee Osborn and (soon to be born) Ryleigh Mae Friel; two brothers, Howard (Evie) Tucker, and John Beadnell; a sister, Ida (Milo) Barlow; a sister-in-law, Mary Pincheon; former daughter-in-law, Naomi Johnson, many loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank all of the Doctors who cared for her and the nurses on T3 for the care and love they showed all of our family.
