Born in Glens Falls, on Nov. 8, 1929, she was the daughter of Beatrice Fitzgerald and William K. Burns.

Rose Anne was employed in the past at her Uncle David Fitzgerald's establishment, Fitzgerald's Hotel and Restaurant, in downtown Glens Falls, and by the Prudential Insurance Company of America for several years. She also was an inspector for Saratoga County Board of Elections for many, many years.

She was married to the late Loren Golden for 40 years until his passing in 1998.

Rose Anne graduated from St. Mary's Academy in 1947 where she acquired a lifetime of friendships. She belonged to the Progressive Homemakers, the Queensbury and Hebron branches of New York Women's Farm and Garden Association, where she held several officer positions. During her membership, Rose Anne hosted a lady from Iceland here in the U.S. for a garden cultural exchange formed by National Farm and Garden Association. Rose Anne loved to travel to New England, Canada, and several trips throughout the south to visit friends and family; never without her camera. Her most memorable trip was with her daughter, Carol, after her 75th birthday, to Ireland. Rose Anne was very proud to be Irish, a N.Y. Yankees Fan, and a staunch Democrat.
