MOREAU --- Ross F. Gibilaro, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 21, 2024.
Born August 31, 1947 in Rome, New York he was the son of Joseph P. Gibilaro, Sr. and Jean (Geno) Gibilaro.
Ross graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1965. He then went on to study at State University of New York at Buffalo, and graduated in 1970.
Ross was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1971. He was an active member at the Saratoga East Congregation. As a part of Ross' volunteer work with Jehovah's Witnesses he had the privilege of conducting Bible study at McGregor Correctional Facility as a part of the prison witnessing program.
On June 17, 1972 in Rome, New York Ross married the love of his life Nancy S. Broadbent.
For many years, Ross had several engineering and management positions around central New York and the capital region.
In Ross' younger years he enjoyed playing golf. After he retired, he enjoyed gardening but he especially enjoyed sharing his fruits and vegetables with friends and family.
Ross was predeceased by his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 52 years, Nancy S. (Broadbent) Gibilaro of Moreau, along with their two children; son Kris Gibilaro and his wife Tonya of South Glens Falls, and daughter Rachel L. Gibilaro of Moreau; grandchildren, Devon D. Morehouse of Glens Falls, Austyn T. Morehouse of Glens Falls, Brielle K. Gibilaro of South Glens Falls, and Aiden A. Gibilaro of South Glens Falls; sisters, Dianne Guarno and her husband Ray of Hephzibah, Georgia, Connie Renwick and her husband Frank of Augusta, Georgia, and Jeannie Gibilaro of New Hampshire; brother, Joseph Gibilaro, Jr. of West Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as several well-loved grand-puppies.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 192 Edie Road, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
A gathering will be held for family and friends after the service. Details will be announced.
A graveside ceremony will be private at the convenience of the family.
