Royce G. Carpenter's Obituary
ALABAMA and CHESTERTOWN — Mr. Royce G. Carpenter, 85, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at his residence in Winfield, Alabama.
Mr. Carpenter was born in Chesterfield, New York, and grew up in New York state. He married, raised a family and worked in Massachusetts.
An avid camper, Mr. Carpenter traveled for many years before settling in Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Lena (Potter) Carpenter; and one brother, Douglas Carpenter.
Survivors include his sons, Kenneth Royce and Richard Howard Carpenter; sister, Monica Kenyon; brother, Hollis Carpenter; former wife, Ruth Carpenter; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and special friend, Mrs. Jimmie Franks.
A graveside ceremony will be held at noon Monday, May 11, at Chester Rural Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Parisi officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice.
