Russell Joseph
Combs
Mar 24, 1978 — Dec 25, 2025
Russell Joseph Combs, born March 24, 1978, passed away on December 25, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion and quiet strength.
Russell was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend. He was the heart of his family and a steady presence to those who knew him. Russell had a deep love for sports and stories- he was a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New York Giants, and he never outgrew his love for Star Wars, which reflected his sense of wonder, loyalty and hope.
Above all else, Russell loved his family. He is survived by his wife, Heather Combs; his children, Michael Donaldson, Madison Pettigrew, and Kinsley Combs, who were the center of his world; he is also survived by his mother, Lauri Robillard; his father, Paul Robillard; his sister Rachael Robillard; his mother and father in law, Donna and Mike Eichler; his aunts and uncles, Debbie and Bob Carroll, and John and Brenda LaRouche; and cousins Robert Carroll, Brianna, Brendon, Ryan LaRouche, Kimbery Orr, Andrew, and Michael Robillard.
Russell was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Lenita LaRouche; and his paternal grandparents, Arthur "Pete" and Mary Robillard; and uncle, James Robillard.
He also leaves behind many other friends and extended family who loved him dearly, including "the crew," a group that was more like a family than friends. Among them were his best friends Frank and Robin Crescente, whose bond, laughter, and unwavering friendship meant the world to him. He will be deeply missed at Friday night poker, a tradition he cherished and never took for granted.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Father Tony Childs and the compassionate staff of T6 at GFH for their care, kindness and support.
His kindness, humor, and unwavering love will be deeply missed, but his presence will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Russell's memory to Finding; One's Way: The Brian Langdon Foundation. Findingonesway.org
