SOUTH CAROLINA --- Russell J. Stewart Sr., 45, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and formerly of Lake George, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in South Carolina.

Born August 23, 1968 in Hartford, Conn., he was the son of Russell S. and Barbara L. (Young) Stewart.

His love for the outdoors compelled him to spend much time hiking, fishing, and camping, especially with his children.

Russell was predeceased by his father, Russell S. Stewart, and four children Isaiah J. Stewart, Gabriella Rose Stewart, Gabriele J. Stewart, and Richard J. Stewart.

Survivors include his girlfriend, Olivia DaSillva; his two children, Russell J. Stewart Jr., and Carrie Lynn Stewart; his mother, Barbara Young; a sister, Leesa Stewart; an aunt, Becki Cramer; an uncle, Robert Young; a niece, Shaylin Farneth; a nephew, Aveyen Farneth; and several cousins and friends.

Friends are invited to join the family for a gathering to celebrate Russell's life Sunday, June 1, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Crandall Park Pavilion, Glen St., Queensbury. Dishes to pass are welcomed.
