Obituary

Sally Mae Marr, 75 of Brant Lake died unexpectedly on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Glens Falls Hospital with her loving daughter-in-law by her side.

Born February 28, 1949 in Horicon, she was the daughter of the late Earl J. and Elvira L. (Harpp) Granger.

Sally worked at King George Motel, Marine Village and The Sagamore Resort.

Sally was known for her caring heart and her loving soul. She was always worried about everyone she knew and made sure to check in to see how they were doing and how they were feeling.

She loved to play Bingo and do her scratchies with a cup of Stewarts coffee. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and family, especially Crazy Rummy and Old Maid with her grandsons, Alex and Devin. Sally loved flowers, shopping, socializing, and spending time at all the family gatherings. She especially loved "Sisters" day and spending time with her son and grandchildren. Recently Sally enjoyed watching her birds on her porch, keeping in touch with everyone through Facebook, and creating her coloring pictures. She looked forward to her two-hour Friday phone calls with her son, Kevin.

Sally was predeceased by her brother, Jerry Granger; and her nephew, Zachary Granger both of Brant Lake.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Bobby Marr of Brant Lake, and Kevin (Jaydeen) Marr of Kingsbury; grandchildren, Lorrie, Alexander, and Devin Marr of Kingsbury, Sarah Cleveland of Chestertown, and Matthew Monroe of Warrensburg. A hole has been left in the hearts of her surviving siblings, Betty Olden (Jackie), Earl "Shorty" (Pam) Granger, Bonnie (Lance) Cleveland, Connie (Billy) Warner, Patty Steinman (Doug), Cindy (Carl)Moffitt, Roy Granger (Charlene), Ricky Granger (Diane); and many nieces and nephews.

Per Sally's wishes there will be no services or calling hours. A celebration of Sally's life will be announced by the family at a later date.
