GLENS FALLS --- Sandra L. Brown, 58, passed away at her home with her family by her side on Sunday, April 11, 2021, after a 41-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Born August 8, 1962 in Princetown, NY she was the daughter of Leonard and Muriel (Woodman) Peterson.

After earning her high school diploma from Schalmont High School, Sandra married Jody Brown and they built a life together.

Sandra worked for the New York State Department of Transportation for many years.

Some of her enjoyments in life included fishing at Pine Point Cabins with Jody's brother, Jeff, camping with Dennis and Wendy Thompson and their girls, and going to her son Tyler's sports games.

Sandra was a true warrior and fighter. She had fought and won her battle with breast cancer and was cancer free for 13 years. Sandra also fought a long and hard battle with Multiple Sclerosis for 41 years.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her brother, Wayne Peterson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jody Brown; children, Tyler Brown and Chelsey Charpenter; cousin, Louis Hagadone; in-laws, Jeff Brown and Carol Twitchel; close friends, Wendy and Dennis Thompson; the Tygert and Peterson Families; also her cat, Meatloaf, and her dog, Muffin.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Hudson Headwaters, High Peaks Hospice, the girls at Rite Aid on Ridge Street, Dawn, Nicole, and Erin, Sandra's longtime aide Rose, and her caregiver Joyce Moulton.

At Sandra's request, there will be no public services.
