Obituary

QUEENSBURY --- Sandy Jean Kimball, 76, longtime resident of Queensbury, passed away Monday, Nov. 20, 2017 at Schuyler Ridge Nursing Home in Clifton Park following a brief illness.

Born Aug. 21, 1941 in Rochester, N.Y., she was the daughter of Carl and Ethel (Steves) Growth.

Sandy graduated from Charlotte High School in Rochester.

For many years, she was the greeter at Auntie Anne's Pretzel in the Aviation Mall, and also worked at Queensbury High School in the cafeteria.

Some of her enjoyments included sports and birds, but above all, she loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Patrick Kimball; and a brother, Carl Groth.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, John Kimball and his wife, Gail, of Hamilton, Ohio, and Mike Kimball and his wife, Mary, of South Richmond Hill, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Mike Kimball Jr., Patrick Kimball, and Erin Kimball; nieces, Wendy and Missie; a nephew, Greg; and several cousins.

Calling hours will take place Friday, Nov. 24, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A funeral service be held Saturday, Nov. 25, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Flossie Gage Bates officiating.

A graveside service will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Lake George.

Friends are invited to join the family at Recovery Sports Bar on Glen St. in Queensbury following services.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to al the great nurses and doctors at the Oncology Department at Glens Falls Hospital.
