Obituary

GLENS FALLS --- Sarah Frances (Graham) Villa, 83, a resident of Fort Hudson and formerly of Glens Falls, was welcomed into Jesus' arms on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015 at Glens Falls Hospital.

Born July 26, 1932 at Fort Benning in Columbus, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Ellis B. and Aileen S. (Gibson) Graham.

Following her graduation from Jordan High School in Columbus, Georgia, Class of 1951, Sarah worked for the telephone company because she enjoyed talking on the telephone right up until her final days.

Sarah married William "Bill" Villa Sept. 12, 1953 in Columbus, Georgia.

For the entire month of July, Sarah fully celebrated her birthday and encouraged others to so the same, because she felt that birthdays were a special gift from God.

She had a keen eye for butterflies, birch trees and anything yellow. Her lifelong devotion was to her faith, family, and friends. Above all, she loved to pray.

In addition to her parents, Sarah was predeceased by her husband, Bill, an infant son, and a grandson, Steven G. White Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory are her four children, Sara Beth Villa of Glens Falls, Judy Villa-White and her husband, Steve, also of Glens Falls, Mark Villa and his wife, Pam, of Queensbury, and Don Villa and his wife, Denise, also of Queensbury; six grandchildren Michael William, Mark Anthony and his fiancé, Kasey, Megan Marie, Jared Patrick, Emily Morgan, and Jonathan Steven; one great-grandson, Conor Jordan; one brother, Dr. James Donald Graham and his wife, Frances, of Savoy, Illinois; two sisters-in-law, Carol Villa and Barbara Bardin; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Calling hours will take place Saturday, Oct. 24 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Bill Davidson, pastor of Church of the King, along with Sarah's brother, Rev. Don Graham, officiating.

A graveside service will then follow at Bay St. Cemetery, Glens Falls.

Donations, in her loving memory, may be made to Church of the King Benevolent Fund, 685 Bay Rd., Queensbury, NY 12804.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Ruth Fish, FNP, the wonderful staff and friends at Fort Hudson Nursing Home, and the nursing staff of T6 and 4W at Glens Falls Hospital. Lastly, we'd like to thank Kathy Fish for being a true friend and inspiration to our mom and our family.
