Sharon Lee
Miner
Feb 16, 1949 — Jun 12, 2024
LAKE GEORGE --- Sharon Lee (Trapasso) Miner, 75, passed away following a brief illness at Glens Falls Hospital on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, with family by her side.
Born on February 16, 1949, in her family home in Moriah, New York, she was the daughter of Anthony and Georgianna (Lake) Trapasso.
Sharon worked at General Electric for several years. After some time and odd jobs, she found she enjoyed working with children. This led her to take on positions at Warrensburg Elementary School, Hudson Falls Middle School, and WSWHE BOCES. She spoke fondly of her time at BOCES; she enjoyed being able to help and support children that needed it the most.
Sharon's grandchildren were the loves of her life. She was so proud of each and every one of them and enjoyed spending time with them more than anything else.
On nice days you would find her sitting outside, spending time with her neighbors. She enjoyed singing karaoke with Mark, her neighbor that became her closest friend, and adored being able to socialize with everyone at the cookouts held by her wonderful landlords Marji and Joe. She was grateful to be there and grateful for them, as they made it possible for her to live independently and enjoy her life.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Trapasso; and nephews, Rodney and Tony Trapasso.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dean T. Miner of Glens Falls, with whom she had been separated from for over two decades, but still remained very good friends; children, Toni Cleland and her husband, Scott of Eugene, Oregon, Terri Tryon and her husband, Josh of Lake George, and Dean Miner and his partner of Glens Falls; grandchildren, Elias, Sophia, Kaylee, Alexis, Joshua, Jr., Julie, Kaiden, Nathan, Landon, and Aria; brothers, Anthony Trapasso and Dominic Trapasso; also several nieces and nephews.
A graveside ceremony will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Glens Falls Cemetery on Bay Street.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Glens Falls Hospital nurse, Ashley Lovely, who showed so much compassion and care for Sharon and her family when they needed it the most, staying well past the end of her shift to care for Sharon.
Condolences and floral arrangements may be sent directly to Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804, or through www.bakerfuneralhome.com.
