Queensbury --- Shawn Morey Chadwick, 35, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 4:20pm after being diagnosed with malignant melanoma cancer in November of 2023. He fought hard for the short battle he had with cancer until the very end. He decided to go on the day he loved, at the time he loved, with the people he loved.

Shawn was born July 12, 1988 at Glens Falls Hospital. He shared his birthday with his little sister Lisa and grandmother Clara. Shawn's parents are Carrie (Nash) Chadwick and John Chadwick Sr. Shawn was an incredible human who made an impact in many people's lives, and had a great sense of humor and sarcasm.

Shawn was pre-deceased by his father John Chadwick Sr., and his brother Jason.

He is survived by his mother Carrie Chadwick (Tim), his wife Nova (Rexroad) Chadwick, his children; Willow Patience Chadwick, Orion Patrick Chadwick, and Roman Hayes, sisters; Heather Nowicki, Christine Baker (Travis), Lisa Flack (Shawn), Kelly and Stephenie who were like sisters, brothers; Guy Chadwick, Nathan Chadwick (Angelica), Joshua Shaw (Janna), Paul (Téa) and David (Sarah) who were like brothers, grandparents; Clara Morey and Malcolm Dunn; half siblings; John, Richard and Jackie, and many nieces, nephews and cousins, and his best friend Nick Johnson and his family.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice for all of the support and care they gave Shawn and his family, as well as Dr. Stoutenburg and Honey at the Glens Falls Cancer Center.

Shawn's visitation will be held at Baker Funeral Home, on Friday, April 26, 2024 at from 10AM to 11AM. Burial will take place at St. Alphonsus Cemetery at 11:15AM following the visitation.

A celebration of life will be held at Cue and Brew in Fort Edward.
