A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 62 Warren St, Glens Falls, NY 12801 with the Rev. Liam Condon officiating.

GLENS FALLS - Sheila Mason passed away on February 15th surrounded by her family at the Glens Falls Hospital following a short illness. She was born July 1, 1936 to John and Beatrice Terry.

Sheila was a lifelong resident of Glens Falls. She graduated from Saint Mary's Academy in 1954. Sheila was the class treasurer and helped with many class reunions. After high school she participated in the Miss Adirondack Pageant where she won Miss Congeniality.

Sheila was an avid golfer and could often be found on the golf course. She was a 3x Women's Champion at Tee Bird and had a couple hole in ones! She was also a member of Glens Falls Country Club for 12 years.

Sheila married Richard Mason in 1961 at Saint Mary's Church. They spent the next 63 years together.

Sheila worked at Associates of Glens Falls for 20+ years until retirement. Sheila loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She spent many summers by the pool with her loved ones.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brother Jimmy and sister-in-law Phyllis Terry, brother Paul and sister-in-law Linda Terry and sister Louise Hogge.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Richard, son Scott (Victoria), daughter Jill (Stacey), grandchildren Amanda, Samantha (Austin), Sarah (Aaron), Meresa (Jake) and Andrew as well as 6 great-grandchildren and siblings Jane (Gary) Tougas and Peter (Mary) Terry and many nieces and nephews.

Her family would like to thank Glens Falls Hospital and the Palliative Care team for their help during this difficult time. We'd also like to thank her granddaughter Meresa Dailey for helping organize all her care. Special thanks to Rachel Marler and Melody Mulcahy for helping care for Sheila at home for the past year.

At the request of the family, there will be no services at this time. There will be a memorial service for family and friends at a later date.
