WARRENSBURG--- Shirley L. Harvey, 83, of Burdick Ave., Warrensburg, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013 at Glens Falls Hospital, following a long illness.
Born at the Top of the World in Lake George on Oct. 3, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Jerome F. and Lura B. (Bunker) Reynolds. The Reynolds family settled in Warrensburg on Burdick Ave.
Shirley was a graduate of Warrensburg Central School.
On Sept. 11, 1948, she married Beecher G. Harvey at the Free Methodist Church in Warrensburg. Like her parents, Shirley and Beecher made their home on Burdick Ave., where they raised their family.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was predeceased by a son, Gary B. Harvey, nine siblings, Helen Anslow, Ruth Combs, and Clara, Sarah, Augusta, Willis, Thomas, Franklin and William Reynolds.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Beecher G. Harvey of Warrensburg; a son, Brian M. Harvey of Warrensburg; several nieces, nephews and cousins, with special mention of nieces, Brenda Monroe of Warrensburg, Jane Thomas of Ohio, Lynda Harvey of Keene Valley, Lynn Dobbs, Lisa O'Meara, and Jennifer Derleth, all of Fla., and nephews, John Reynolds of Lake Luzerne and Bruce Harvey of Chestertown.
At Shirley's request, there will be calling hours or funeral services.
Friends are invited to join the family for a graveside service at North Caldwell Cemetery, Lake George on Saturday, September 14, at 11 a. m. with the Rev. Nancy Barrow, pastor of Warrensburg Free Methodist Church, officiating.
